Taylor’s welcome three new members to the team, Mary Jones has joined us as a Business Administration Apprentice, James Meeson as an Integrated Security Systems Apprentice and Stephen Wickes as a trainee security engineer.
“It seems harder and harder for young people to find a career path, in Bexley 16-18 year old NEET’s (Not in Education, Employment or Training) make up 3.4% of the population. We are expanding the business and offering roles to apprentices/trainees seemed like a logical step for us to take, offering jobs to young people within our local community. We are keen to give each trainee an opportunity to pursue a long term career with Taylors, I am pleased to have Mary, James & Stephen as part of the team”
Mark Taylor, Managing Director
Mary Jones joined Taylors in February 2016 previously studying at St Catherine’s Catholic School, Bexley Heath, Mary lives in Belvedere, the apprenticeship in Business Administration as an office junior, including all base office skills, IT software, call handling, paperwork processing, spreadsheets and administration. Mary says “I am really enjoying working at Taylor Technology, the team are really friendly and supportive and I hope to continue and work my way up through the company”
James Meeson from Dartford joined the team in July 2016 after completing his GCSE’s. As an Integrated Security Systems Apprentice James will learn all about the role of an engineer within the Security industry. “Learning while I’m working and while I’m earning was the right route for me, Taylors is a great company to work for and I already feel like a valued member of the team, It’s also great to find what I was looking for so close to home.”
Stephen Wickes from Welling joins the team as Taylors first Trainee Security Engineer, the TTS training programme will teach trainees to maintain, fix and install intruder, fire, access and security systems and equipment, whilst ensuing the health and safety of themselves, those around them and the site in which they are working. Stephen says “Taylors offered a great programme with the prospect of fulltime long term employment once I am fully qualified. I am looking forward to getting out on the tools and learning out in the field.”
